dell monitor U2312HM
I received a Dell 23 inch monitor U2312HM as a Christmas present. My computer is an iMac Pro running Leopard with 8 GB RAM. Unfortunately the CD supplied comes does not autoload, and when I eventually get it to load comes up in Arabic.
I am using the monitor now but it seems to load on some kind of auto driver - first comes up a sign "auto-select DVI-D" then the monitor loads.
I need to download the current driver for iMac running Leopard. Can anybody suggest how to find this driver?
Thanks Bill Wilson

Hi Mary G
Many thanks. I didn't know that. . .Yes the screen buttons all work exactly as described in the user's manual.
Amusingly, the user's manual is also in Arabic. But I was at least able to find one in English which I was able to print - took about 15 mins but worth it.
I will follow your advice and see if it calibrates OK with my Huey Pro. If it does, I will use it.
One thing, though - after my experience with the Dell website I will never, never, ever buy a Dell product. I have owned 4 Dell computers in the past - just workhorses - which worked.
I am now working pretty much exclusively with Photoshop and the iMac Pro, and had planned to get a fast windows machine simply because I don't like the inflexiibility of Apple - if you wanna do it exactly like Jobs thought it should be done it works great. But if you want anything different (bigger or smaller icons, for a simple example - or darker type, or a different font - Apple makes it as hard as possible if it is doable at all.
So - instead of buying Dell - I will build a fast game machine of PC parts when I have time. No more Dell, ever.
Many thanks Bill Wilson

I'm not sure this will work for Leopard, but here's the only dell driver I could find-- www.dell.com/.../DriverFileFormats
Monitors are plug and play and the win 7 driver might not be necessary. Check to see if the buttons on the monitor work--Menu, Settings. Screen size etc. That is usually what monitor drivers are for. If they work OK don't install any driver.
