XPS13 L322X display corruption (and crash)

Hi,

Occasionally, without warning the display on my XPS13 L322X is corrputed and displays many short horizontal bars (see image). When this happens the PC becomes unresponsive and I have to shut it down by holding down the power key. Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas what the cause could be?

It's either a bad display panel or  a bad GPU --  attach an external screen. If it shows clear, chances are it's the display that's bad.  If it doesn't, it's a bad GPU -- replace the mainboard.

Thanks ein63 . The screen shot is of an external screen, so I guess that means its the GPU. It's probably not financially viable to replace the mainboard. Particularly given that the 'Q' key doesn't work very well and I really need to upgrade to a larger SSD. Looks like it's time for a new one :-(
