SOLVED Dell System Detect

I have downloaded the subject app. When I attempt to open it, I get a small window that comes and goes so fast I have trouble trying to read what it says. I

There is a horizontal timer that runs to the end very fast,

What I read is ,""Launching Application".  "Verifying application requirements.", " This may take a few moments".

Then,the window closes out and that's all that happens.

I surfed to the Dell site, and attempted to get driver updates. After initiating,"Guide me", the little square timer starts to run. And it never stops. I let the thing run for twenty minutes and it just kept turning with no other actions.

So then I went to manual and selected some downloads.  I select download, after checking the boxes I want, and noting happens. I check in my download folder, nothing there.

That's about it. To generalize when I try to run Dell System Detect,, nothing happens. When I try to download updates, nothing happens.

The computer is running with no problems, I just can't seem to connect with Dell
