Inspiron 15 3531 no internet cable port
Didn't catch this when I bought this budget unit... but no hard wire connector for internet. Is there a USB port accessory or other way to hard connect?

Certainly -- you just need a USB to Ethernet adapter.
For example

Are you sure there is no ethernet port? The model's images on Dell's sales site shows it on the left side between the HDMI port and the USB ports.

This is a decidedly entry-level notebook - it has no bluetooth, no optical drive and no Ethernet port in the base configuration.

That is surprising even on a budget model. Thanks for pointing that out. I hope the manual has directions for a wired connection. I didn't know there was an adapter cable for that.
