Battery not charging
Good day
I have an Inspiron 3737 running win10. Machine is has been in use for around 5 years and the battery just stopped charging. When I unplug and replug the ac adapter it shows charging for around 10 seconds and then stops. I have replaced the battery and adapter but problem persists. Can someone please help???

Next thing to replace is the DC jack:

If that doesn't solve the issue, replace the mainboard.

Thank you for the quick response! The problem however is not with the machine but with the user! I lost sight of the fact that the battery icon in the taskbar only shows progressing bars when it starts charging and then stops even though the battery is still charging. My old battery is a goner and the new adapter is AC/DC one that I need for in-car use so nothing was wasted. You are welcome to have a laugh on me... I would!!!
