15-5000 Model 5570 Hybrid Storage?
Does this model, shipped with 128GB SSD + 1T HD, come as a HYBRID storage system, or is it just two sepaate manageable storage devices? By definition, a Hybrid combo of solid state and spinning disc is managed totally by Windows (like cache-Disk) and the user has no input into what goes on each. If not hybrid, the user can manage both SSD and HD as he/she wishes. So, Hybrid or not?
Secondly, I just ordered this model. It comes with Windows 10 Home, but will it be original version, Anniversary Version, or new Creator's version?
Thanks ahead of time.

None of the documentation states SSHD or hybrid. All I see is SSD. We have been shipping the Creator edition since April. Perhaps an exiting owner can post their findings.

If it's a 128GB SSD, the system will ship with the drives configured as 2 completely independent drives, and the OS will be installed on the SSD. You may be able to use the Intel Rapid Storage utility to configure the SSD as a huge cache module for the HDD if you're comfortable reinstalling Windows on the HDD and setting that up, but for most people that will result in worse overall performance.

Great answers DELL-ChrisM and jphugman. Looks like I will save some time since Creator Edition will come installed. Today I began my learning curve with a 2-drive storage. I think I have it figured out and will also be using Symlists to connect to data that will be kept on HDD. Any comments about using Symlists? I know I can download to either by setting the destination folder and I can change data storage usually by going to options within an application. Any other hint and tips are welcomed. I'll look on this community forum too for more insight. Waiting patiently (not) for my new Dell to arrive. Thanks again people for the answers.

Well Windows 10 Fall Creators starts rolling out on Tuesday, so if you want to be right on the cutting edge, you'll be installing a Windows 10 new release anyway. ;) I'm not familiar with Symlists, but you don't need any special utility to connect to data on the spinning drive. The SSD will be drive C and the hard drive will be D. If you for some reason want to have a folder on C that actually mounts the contents of your HDD, look at the MkLink tool built into Windows: technet.microsoft.com/.../cc753194(v=ws.10).aspx
