XPS 8920 - how do I get to BIOS?
From reading I'm expecting to see a Dell Splash Screen on restart at which point I hit F2.
Unfortunately I don't see any Splash Screen and F2 just gives me a blank screen.
I have also tried DEL, F10 and F12.

When starting up - just keep pressing F2 over and over. Soon you should see a blue bar that builds from left to right on the screen and go into the Bios. Just holding F2 never works for me. Here is what is in the manual:
Entering BIOS setup program
1 Turn on (or restart) your computer.
2 During POST, when the DELL logo is displayed, watch for the F2 prompt to
appear, and then press F2 immediately.
NOTE: The F2 prompt indicates that the keyboard is initialized. This
prompt can appear very quickly, so you must watch for it, and then
press F2. If you press F2 before the F2 prompt, this keystroke is lost. If
you wait too long and the operating system logo appears, continue to
wait until you see the desktop. Then, turn off your computer and try
again.

Today's super fast computers screens go by too fast to wait for any screen. Continuously tapping F2 without waiting is the procedure that usually works for F2 and F12. Even then you can miss it at times.
Entering the bios is not usually needed on today's computers since most settings are available in Settings, Update and Security or from the Boot Menu. Bios changes should be done only by advanced users or with instructions from Support. For instance--do not routinely change boot order in the bios. Use the Boot Menu instead that is accessed by tapping F12 as soon as you start the computer. Boot order is dynamic depending on what boot devices are available. Pick out the one you want from the Boot Menu.

Thanks for the answers. The problem was solved by connecting to the graphics card rather than motherboard graphics (new machine). Once I did this I could see the splash screen and F12 was what I was after, want to boot from USB.
