X51-R2 memory speed, what's the deal?
So from day one my bios has read my memory speed as 1333 in BIOS and AIDA 64. The sticks that came with the computer were SK Hynix (16GB) and I just recently went down and bought (16GB) of Corsair memory. I've done multiple memory tests both with Mem86+, ePSA and also Windows memory tests...Tested each stick individually and both together. Since the BIOS is locked by Alienware I have no options to adjust frequency or voltage. Am I missing something or is the Motherboard capped at 1333? The specs from Alienware clearly say 1600. Thanks in advance.

BeamerMT79...thx 4 the response...its showing 1600 now. I pulled one stick started the computer and it showed 1600 in bios...so I turned it off and put the other stick in and now it shows 1600 for both. I guess you call that the 1 stick fix?

Thats an XMP profile. Basically if your computer supported it, you can use the XMP profile to quickly 'over clock' your ram without having to mess with other settings. If it is not used then it just defaults to what you said 1333Mhz. I took a quick look at the manual for your computer and it doesn't appear to allow for XMP profiles.
