X51-R2, A10 bios update, Stuck on F2 or F12?
OK I thought it was a good idea to upgrade my bios from A?? to A10. But I was wrong. I thought dell official drive will not kill me. But clearly I was wrong. After the upgrade it ask me to reboot. After reboot I got taken to new a10 bios loading screen with two options; F2 setup and the F12 boot option. Then everything stops. Pressing F2 or F12 will light up the option but nothing changes. Help please I don't know what to do now.

Hi,
Sometimes, when a BIOS update is performed, some of the BIOS settings may change. So, enter the BIOS (F2) and try by changing the following options:
1. Advance tab > Integrated devices > SATA MODE: choose AHCI.
2. BOOT Tab> BOOT MODE: choose UEFI
3. BOOT Tab > Security Boot Control: Disabled
Then press F10 to save and exit the BIOS and let me know!

Try a different wired USB keyboard in a different USB port.
CMOS/BIOS Upgrades:
Don't update MotherBoard CMOS/BIOS unless under warranty and talking to phone rep. due to "bricking" risk. This is especially true with older (non-UEFI) conventional Legacy-BIOS machines. Try those outside-of-Windows first with DOS bootable media.
Newer UEFI machines might be less prone to bricking/killing. Finally, a very old BIOS might have bugs/glitches that are fixed in newer versions. If you are far behind and have many to install, it's usually best to just install them all in order (checking machine after each one).
I've had good luck flashing BIOS outside of Windows with Rufus-made FreeDOS bootable flash drive. If in UEFI-Mode, you might have to temporarily switch back to Legacy-Mode to get flash-drive to boot:
