Startup Error Message
I get this error message every time I start up or restart:

Alienware AlienFX is already running.
It isn't a BIG issue, just annoying. I just have to click 'OK' and move on. Here is my System Info as of today:

Yes, I know it's an 'OLD' system, but it's all I have and it works fine for me. Just want it to keep running well, and this is a small 'issue' I can't clear up on my own. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program to control the lighting on this big desktop, and it just does the same thing. And actually, it is a big 'floortop'! LOL
Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.
In advance, many thanks.

A few things you might try.
1) in documents there is a folder named AlienFX. You may have a duplicate or the settings may have become corrupted. If you delete the folder you will need to go back into Control Center and set up your preferences again.
2) uninstall, clean registry, and reinstall current version. Since you have installed a different operating system there may have been a conflict with the current version installed.
3) use the search function on this forum to find similar posts.

Thank you, TripA!
I did your suggestion #2 and it seems to have worked. I did it late in the day, so didn't have time to reboot and install, but I did that this morning.
Thanks for keeping an old comp for an old guy running smooth!
Have GREAT day!
