Migrating Boot Disk...
Hi, I just bought the Alienware 17 R4. It's coming with a 128GB M.2 SSD + 1TB HDD Storage.
I have a 512GB M.2 SSD and I want to use this as my new boot drive. Can I just install the 512GB SSD into the vacant M.2 slot and clone from the 128GB Boot Drive? Or do I need to do a clean install of Windows? Whats the easiest way? (FYI: I have not received the laptop yet so therefore have not even turned it on yet)
Thanks.

I'm not totally sure regarding M.2 but a quick look at the specs shows you have 2 full M.2 drive slots so you should be able to install the bigger one and clone the smaller one to the bigger one. Most people run into cloneing issues when they go from a drive that is bigger to a drive that is smaller regardless of the amount of data. Make sure to create a restore disc or USB just in case.

I would just create an Image (of the whole SSD) to a spare drive, swap M.2 SSDs, and then "bare-metal" restore to new one.
