External USB fan: Better to blow air into the Alienware Amp from the front or directly into the side where GPU fan is located?

I am using an Alienware Amplifier with a GTX 1080 card. I'd like to get some input whether it's better to have an external USB fan that sits outside the case, to:

1 - Sit in front and blow extra air into the amp

2 - Sit in on the side grill to blow air directly into the GPU fan (more air going directly into the intake fan)

3 - Sit in the back of the amp sucking more of the hot air out

Hi,

There's no need for an external or additional fan when using the amplifier, it has sufficient air flow to handle the GTX 1080.

But in case you still want to use it, use it in the front.

On the side it will make more difficult for the GTX to control its own fan properly since there's an external force of air blowing directly. At the back, it might create a wall of air resistance for the hot air to escape the amplifier.

Got it, thanks for the info and why to not use it on the side blowing in. Great info there!
