Latitude E6500 Bluetooth driver for Windows XP SP3 32 bit

Hello from Germany!

Latitude E6500 C2D, 4GB RAM , 120 GB SSD, Intel Graphics only
- Bluetooth adapter is installed and visible and activated at BIOS and BIOS settings for wireless adapters

Win XP SP3 32bit running completely offline from the internet as a retro gaming machine only.
All drivers are installed, but bluetooth is missing at the device manager.
Seems like the correct driver is missing. Any advice which one to use in this case?

Best regards
Peter

Hi

IF you use GETMAC you should see the BlueTooth listed as it is installed according to your 2nd picture.

I would expect 3 mac addresses, ethernet, wifi and BlueTooth.

Then.... https://www.dell.com/support/product-details/en-uk/product/latitude-e6500/drivers

https://dl.dell.com/FOLDER89402M/1/R242148.exe

Recommended source (Dell)
  1. Go to Dell’s Latitude E6500 drivers page.

  2. In the OS selector, choose Windows XP (32‑bit) / XP.

  3. Under Network or Communications, look for “Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Mini‑Card” for Windows XP or the generic Bluetooth driver entry for that OS and download the EXE package.

  4. Run the EXE in XP, let it extract to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\..., then run Setup.exe from that folder to install.

Alternative direct package (XP 32‑bit)

If Dell’s selector is being awkward, you can also use a Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Mini‑Card driver bundle that explicitly lists XP/2K/2K3 32‑bit support.
That package is targeted at the same Bluetooth card used in the Latitude E6500, so it works for XP SP3 32‑bit as long as your machine actually has the 370 Bluetooth Mini‑Card installed.

  • The built‑in HDMI port on the Latitude 5590 only supports up to 4K at 30 Hz (because it’s HDMI 1.4 level). That won’t give you smooth 60 Hz refresh at 4K. Dell

  • To get 4K at 60 Hz, you need to use the USB‑C port with DisplayPort “Alt Mode” (essentially the USB‑C output acting like DisplayPort).
