Latitude 7420 webcam upgrade
Hi everyone!
I have a Latitude 7420 with the standard HD webcam. The problem with this camera is that Windows Hello won't work with it. Can I swap the webcam for one that does support Windows Hello? The second question would be does anyone have the part number for a webcam that will do what I want it to do?
To be clear, I understand that taking apart the LCD is a total PITA, but I have experience with this, so it "shouldn't" be a problem doing the swap.
Thanks!

I doubt anyone will have the webcam, which is part of the display assembly -- if what you're looking for is the IR webcam, replace the display assembly. The chances of successfully transplanting the cam (which will almost certainly require a different wiring harness) without destroying the LCD are very low.

The alternative would be a USB webcam, which will be less expensive.

Thanks for the info @ejn63 I think that I will just install a fingerprint reader. Simpler and way less expensive.
