Latitude 5310 unable to boot from USB stick
I am trying to install Linux from a Fedora 43 USB stick, but F12 doesn't show it as an option even if I disable secure boot. Any idea of what could possibly be causing the issue?

The USB drive needs to be UEFI compliant -- you may want to see here

Recreating the install stick from the .iso worked, but I also had to disable RAID functionality in the BIOS before the install program would recognize the NVMe storage in the machine.
In any case, thank you. It works now flawlessly.

You will need to call Dell support with verification of ownership to have the system unlocked.
"@ejn63 On my computer, my BIOS settings menu is protected by a so-called administrator password, but I've never set a password on my PC. I'm lost, I can't change the boot mode to update my operating system. Please help me."

@ejn63 that wasn't required. I recreated the boot USB stick and it was immediately recognised. The computer is now running Linux as intended.

The post I answered was not about your system - it was about a system that was locked with an admin password.
