Isilon 32bit / 64bit

We have recently migrated data to the Isilon. in some instances, we have had the requirement to ensure that a 32bit client can use the NFS export . The customer would like to apply the 32bit setting to all the NFS exports regardless of whether the client is 32bit or a 64bit client . Is there a potential performance impact for the 64bit clients if the setting is applied to all NFS exports?

Hi,

Thanks for your question. This thread may help. https://dell.to/3JxOpEe It shouldn’t affect performance, but it may limit the max file size it to 2GB per file.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.
