EMC Isilon SSIP set to 0.0.0.0 but smartconnect still working
Hi Team
We have an Isilon and the smartconnect service ip is set to 0.0.0.0
However i can see that smart connect is working .
ie each nslookup returns a diffrent node ip .
How is this possible ??

Hi
Smartconnect working with zone not with subnet. Service IP Working in subnet for management, smartconnect working with zone for frontend service.

Hello anand14657,
Is the 0.0.0.0 the only SmartConnect service address set on the cluster? What do your DNS settings look like for domain name? Are you running the nslookup from a client or the cluster itself?

Can you provide more details of network subnet and pools configured also what entries are configured in DNS side for delegation zone record.
How many zone are configured in Isilon?
