Would a 11.6" Triple Laptop Monitor Extender 1080P be compatible with my Inspiron 11-3168?

Inspiron 11 3168

Inspiron 11 3168

I was thinking about purchasing a "11.6" Triple Laptop Monitor Extender 1080P FHD IPS 60Hz Screen Panel Secondhand" from ebay to make school and home life easier but i read somewhere that triple laptop monitors are not compatible with Dell/Inspiron 11-3168. Is this true? Or can i use it?

Laptop spec:

- Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU N3710 @ 1.60GHz   1.60GHz

- System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

A displaylink adapter might work.  That said, be sure you're only displaying static images -- if you try to display three screens' worth of moving images (or expect  a fast refresh), you'd be better off with a more capable notebook.  This one is a glorified netbook and won't handle the job.

No.  The only video output on that notebook is HDMI -- the USB ports are not video capable.   Even if you can solve the connection problem, driving three screens on a system this old with a CPU that weak would be so slow it'd be intolerable.

@ejn63 Thank you for responding. So even though it would technically just be 2 extra screens (my laptop plus 2 addition screens) my laptop wouldn't support it? I do have new updated hard drives and Windows is up-to-date...

You only have one HDMI connector for an external screen -- the USB ports on that system cannot output video.

@ejn63 Ok I see, well would I be able to get an adapter that converts "USB 2.0 to HDMI" then it would?
