Unplugging the laptop causes a BSOD - DRIVER STATE POWER FAILURE
Inspiron 5406 2-in-1
Experiencing a BSOD each time we unplug the laptop from power. The laptop will run on battery for a few minutes after being unplugged then the mouse will freeze and a "DRIVER STATE POWER FAILURE" BSOD will appear. Once restarted the laptop will operate normally until the next time it is unplugged from power.
I've tried upgrading my PC to Windows 11 which has no effect. I've also reinstalled Windows 10 and the issue persists.
Has anyone resolved this issue?

The issue was hardware related. The Dell extended warranty coverage provided a replacement motherboard for the laptop and the issue is now resolved.

DrNature0,
To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get help now" icon on the right to start a live chat session.

Batteries wear out. Might be time for a new battery from Dell if available. Or just use the power adapter all the time until you can replace the computer.

@Mary G Laptop works well on battery. I can get almost three hours of use which is about the same as when we originally bought it. The issue is transitioning from AC to Battery causes the blue screen.
