Screen Flicker issue in DELL 5570

Hi There,

I would like to bring to your attention a recurring pattern concerning a screen flickering issue I have encountered with my laptop. Specifically, I have observed that when I leave my laptop shut down for an extended period of time and subsequently power it on, it operates smoothly without any flickering for a few hours. However, after this initial period of stability, the flickering problem resurfaces.

To illustrate this pattern, I can provide an example. On three separate occasions, I allowed my laptop to remain shut down for a span of two days. Upon powering it on after this period, I experienced uninterrupted performance without flickering for approximately four hours. Subsequently, the flickering issue returned.


I have exhaustively attempted a range of solutions that I came across on the internet while the screen flickering was actively occurring. Unfortunately, none of these attempted remedies yielded any successful results.
- Update Graphics Drivers - Not fixed the issue
- Adjust Display Refresh Rate - Not fixed the issue (Currently 60.01Hz)
- Boot in Safe Mode - Flickering observed in safe mode as well.
- Check for Malware - No malware in the system
- Disable Background Apps - Not fixed the issue
- Adjust Night Light Settings - Not fixed the issue
- Check External Devices - The issue is not found in an external system
- Check for Windows Updates - (Updated) Not fixed the issue
- Update BIOS - (Updated) Not fixed the issue
- Rollback Graphics Drivers - Not fixed the issue
- Display BIST test - Issue Not Found in test

I believe this pattern of behavior suggests a potential underlying cause, and I am seeking guidance on how to address and rectify this matter effectively.

Hi,
I want to share an update regarding this issue.
I went to the service center and found that the hardware(screen) was misbehaving. So the solution is screen replacement in this case.

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them.

I have tried to resolve this issue with the Dell chat support, But It does resolve the issue.
The warranty for the laptop is expired. I am looking for support for this issue.

If Windows Update recently updates to your device, roll back your display driver. Otherwise, try updating or uninstalling your display driver to fix the flickering or scrambling problem. In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, and then select it from the list of results.

@GauravSyst​ It does not resolve the issue. Flickering still persists.
