Intel Arc iGPU limited to 1450MHz
Does anyone know why the Intel Arc 8 iGPU (Core Ultra 7 155H) of the Inspiron 16 Plus 7640 (RTX 4060) is limited to 1450MHz (it should be 2250MHz)?
I've done several tests and it's impossible to exceed 1450MHz even without any thermal or power limitations...
Why is this Dell?

The current configuration is working as designed. The Meteor Lake processor when used with discrete graphics card under certain environment will show the current configuration which should not impact the overall system performance.

For our notes, where on the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7640 sales site or in the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7640 Documentation does it state that the OEM Intel Arc Graphics are capable of doing 2250MHz?

The issue is not about the laptop, but about the CPU:

Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Inspiron 16 Plus 7640 Service Tag with them. Explain the issue.
Restart and press F2 to the Enter the BIOS system setup
Take a screenshot of the Overview menu PROCESSOR (page 94)
Go to the Performance menu. Is Intel Turbo Boost Technology Enabled/On? (page 102)

Firstly, thank you for your attention!
The options in this laptop's BIOS are extremely limited compared to other newer Dell laptops that I have had access to.
There is no performance menu for example...
In any case, Intel Turbo Boost is enabled because the processor cores reach high clocks (+4.5GHz) whenever necessary.
I have already tried restoring the factory settings in the BIOS and also the current BIOS settings...
I honestly don't believe that clicking on the help icon will help because the agents follow a defined and very limited script.
I believe it will be difficult to even explain my complaint.

It's interesting that the owner's manual shows all these options that are not available in the BIOS for me...
Here is an image of the iGPU clock monitoring while a graphics benchmark was running.
Note that there is no limitation of any kind and the iGPU clock does not exceed 1450MHz.
This was only in one test, but I have tried it in several others and it is the same limitation.
I disabled the dGPU (RTX 4060) to test and take the screenshot.
The system is fully up-to-date, including the latest BIOS version (1.8.1)

@DELL-Chris M
Hi, did you get any information?
What I want to know is if this is an intentional limitation due to some specific Dell adjustment for this laptop or if it is a problem...
Thank you.

@DELL-Chris M Good to know, but it's a shame because I intended to test the Arc iGPU to assess whether it meets my demands and to possibly purchase an XPS 13 for work outside the office.
With the limited clock its performance is well below what it could be...
As for my unit's BIOS, could you tell me why there is no way to access the advanced menu with the options shown in the owner's manual?
I don't have access to several settings shown in the manual such as disabling virtualization features, disabling E-cores, disabling BIOS updates through Windows updates...
Thanks!

BIOS 1.8.1 was released on August 14, 2024.
The Owner's Manual only states August 2024 Revision A02. So we cannot say if it was written before BIOS 1.8.1 was released or not. My guess is that at some point they will release an Owner's Manual A03 version which will represent the design limitation removing those options you cannot access.
