Inspiron 17 - 5770

Hi everyone, my Inspiron 17 - 5770 needs a new keyboard. The dell part # is KKFT1. I understand the part is not available from Dell any longer. Can anyone please recommend a place to find one or a good quality OE style replacement? Thanks.

With most consumer notebooks and now, even some business ones yes - the keyboard is plastic welded to the palmrest using plastic rivets.  Unless you're in the mood for drilling out 30 or more plastic rivets and melting new ones with a plastic welder, just replace the assembly.  The labor is the same either way (basically the entire system has to come apart to remove the palmrest assembly for repair or replacement either way.

You need a complete palmrest assembly - not just the keyboard.

@ejn63 Ok, so it's not just a keyboard it's the whole assembly?
