Inspiron 15 3535 Battery Issues

My laptop is stuck on the Dell Recovery page. I can choose to upgrade BIOS, or Rollback BIOS, but either one will take me to a blue box on a black screen claiming I need a battery pack or 25% battery.  I have both, so I'm sure the issue is a battery pack.  However, it started 1 day after my warranty expired (Expired Mar 25, issue started Mar 26). I've used my laptop mostly for school and work, very low workload and rarely multitasking with it.  There should be no reason this happened so quickly.  I'm having to use my 11 year old Mac to write this out, because it still works.

Anyways, I've looked into new batteries and you don't have a choice, you have to use DELL batteries which are pretty expensive.  So I wanted to check and see if anyone has had this issue and solved it before spending money on a battery.  It looks like Dell may try to charge me if I try to use them to solve it.

Would like to fix this reasonably, but may need to invest in a better quality brand if necessary.

I was able to get a Dell branded battery, replaced it, and now it works.  It was a bad battery.  During this process I was unable to get passed the Dell Recovery Page using any technique.  Third-Party Compatible didn't work either, as I learned that Dell may have some coding to protect your laptop against non-dell brand batteries to prevent it from failing.

Try power reset (unplug charger + hold power 30s), then attempt BIOS update again; if it fails, replace the battery or use a third-party compatible one.
