Inspirion 15 3520 Charger
I need to get a new charger for my daughter laptop because she lost it. But I am seeing 2 different ones. Part 492-BDCB & 492-BDBZ. Both descriptions look identical. Can anyone tell me what’s the difference between the two?

I have tested different parts number power adapters on the same laptop before and they all worked fine as the original adapter (recognized correct wattage in BIOS). I suggest to select the cheaper one in your case.

First, you need to verify the correct product. The original Inspiron 3520 (end of life) uses power adapter with 7.4mm barrel tip. The newer Inspiron 3520 (launched in 2022) use 65w power adapter with 4.5mm barrel tip.
Different part numbers for the same product are common as Dell source their components and parts from different manufacturers to produce with the same design and specifications.
The parts and upgrades for Inspiron 3520 (launched in 2022) indicates the power adapter with part number 492-BDCB is a compatible power adapter for your laptop.

@Chino de Oro yes her laptop is the newer one. Both part numbers I listed have the 4.5mm barrel tip. The only difference I see is the price. But other then that, the specs seem identical
