G15 5530, is Displayport over USB-C connected to the Nvidia GPU?

We'd need the exact model number to tell you definitively (G15 5530, 5510, etc.) but the vast majority if not all of the G-series run USB/Thunderbolt from the Intel GPU -- not the discrete one.

It says the model number above my post I believe.  It's a G15 5530 with the RTX 4060.

If it is the case that it's connected to the Intel GPU and not the dedicated one I'm not sure if there's any way to get the Index to work on it!  I'm sure I read somewhere that people had got it working though.

@ejn63​ Ah man that really stinks. I bought this laptop purely for VR on the index so looks like I've wasted my money! Not really sure what to do with it now. I assume Dell wont take it back based on this. Still feel like there must be a way to make it work but it's not looking good! If anyone has any ideas they'd be appreciated. Thanks.

If the device needs direct video output, you need a different system -- this one won't handle that task.

Is there documentation somewhere for confirming that the USB C runs off the iGPU and the HDMI off the dGPU?
