G15 5520, does it work with 64 GB of Crucial RAM?

I upgraded my RAM or so I thought, to 64GB of Crucial RAM. However, it only shows one slot being used and the system to be running single channel mode. So, does this mean that it only supports 32GB RAM and that is all I am going to get, or does it mean I need to enable dual channel mode? I didn't see any setting to enable dual channel in the BIOS settings.

Dell specs validated 32 GB officially.  However, many of Dell systems have users validated with higher capacity than official specs.  Therefore, Crucial compatibility tool is mostly trustworthy.

Review this discussion as some users have tested and confirm of 64 GB upgrade.

Your issue is best to be resolved by working with Crucial support.  If you are certain with proper installation, then one memory module could be faulty.  There is no option to change channel mode on your end.

@Chino de Oro I suppose I will try that, Crucial support, after I try switching or removing the one that is working and replacing it with the one that doesn't seem to be working at the moment. I did do a system scan from other sources that did say 32GB is all my system would support. It's just Crucial said it could support 64GB.

@Chino de Oro I got it to work. Apparently I guess Slot 2 I didn't seat it correctly. I swapped the sticks around and it booted up after a few minutes and showed 64 GB. Thank you for your help, Chino.

Glad to help out.  Your post also helped others with G15 memory upgrade, confirming that 64 GB of Crucial memory will work.

@Chino de Oro I suppose you are right, however, I did sort of bad mouth Crucial by suggesting they lied. My bad.
