Cannot find the identification chip in charger

So I have been trying to get my Dell Inspiron to charge for months, trying new chargers, ect but to no avail. I have found this article https://medium.com/@Morikko/get-rid-of-the-dell-charger-not-recognized-limitation-d731bf81f0f3 and I am attempting to try the fix, but the issue I am having is that I cannot find the identification chip in my charger. My charger is a LA45NM140 LPS.

If you've tried more than one Dell AC adapter that hasn't been recognized, the issue is either with the DC jack or the mainboard -- not the adapter.

You will have to contact the author of that blog to help you with the information.  Dell does not provide any technical guide or procedure to repair internal part of a power adapter.
