Inspiron 3891, manual contradicts the PDF?
The (8 page) manual (shipped along with computer) says regarding the front port that it is USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C.
However, the PDF document describes it as 3.2 Gen-1 Type-C. And the other port next to it (left as you look at it) as USB 3.2 Gen-1. The USB port for the Type-C is much smaller and different shape than standard USB.

Both the product sales page and the Setup and Specifications manual call it 3.2 Gen-1. If the marking on the case is the regular "SS" symbol, same as for the blue type-A ports, I think that's what you have.

The smaller shape of the port is typical of the Type-C connector - or just USB-C. It's meant to accept the connector in any orientation as opposed to the standard USB-A (or Mini-USB and Micro-USB) where you only plug the connector in one way. USB-C is the same connector that has become typical of most mobile devices and Chrome Books. Except for Apple iPhones - but even they are rumored to be switching to USB-C for the iPhone 14 thanks to the EU.
The Gen-1 or Gen-2 designation only relates the speed of the port - 5Gbps or 10Gbps.
The pamphlet that came with the computer could be a misprint. I have one too, and here's a photo. It even shows the SS symbol with the 10 superscript that indicates the 10Gbps version. The Type-C note is correct. If all the online specs say it's Gen-1, then who knows which is right.
