Inspiron 3668 videocard upgrade
I want to use the open PCI-E x16 slot for a slot powered videocard. What level of PCI-E does that motherboard have? 1.0, 5.0?

It looks like this machine might be from 2016 or so.
$170 is a total rip-off for that baby card.
I don't really know, but I'm guessing you have a small power-supply. But if not (if it has proper video-card power-plugs) and you have some length space AND you have dual-slot space ... and it's an Intel-i7 (Intel-i5 might be a bit of a bottle-neck) the gaming card that went into similar Alienwares (like Aurora-R6) was a GTX-1070.
But really, you should just use that one as is and save-up for a new one.

Yeah I advised him to get a refurbished PC instead of trying to upgrade a 2016/17 machine.
Thank you.
