Inspiron 3020s PSU Upgrade

I have an Inspiron 3020S with an i5-13400 CPU, and I want to upgrade my PSU from 180W to support a new graphics card (RTX 3050, low profile, TDP: 75W). Since Dell doesn't have any other PSU compatible options listed on their website, has anyone tried PSU upgrades that worked with this pc?

The recommended psu list is

1GJMK 300W Chicony
42M49 300W Delta
CNHDM 300W LiteOn
K96D5 300W Liteon
W6PWK 300W Acbel

If I look at 7010 SFF 300w psu list

some psu are D13.5.  some are D13.  not sure if 13.5 are better designed than D13.

PWR SPLY, 300W, PLT, D13, SFFM, ACB
PWR SPLY, 300W, PLT, D13, SFFM, CHY
PWR SPLY, 300W, PLT, D13, SFFM, DEL
PWR SPLY, 300W, PLT, D13, SFFM, LTN
PWR SPLY, 300W, PLT, D13.5, SFM, CY C8VJG
PWR SPLY, 300W, PLT, D13.5, SFM, DL 9W70T
PWR SPLY, 300W, PLT, D13.5, SFM, LN K96D5

@redxps630

So I have just bought and tried this PSU. It turns on the PC with no problems, but when I turn it off, there’s a ticking sound near the PSU fan. It doesn’t sound normal to me. Any advice?

You can tell seller the psu has a strange noise and ask if they can send you a replacement and take back the noisy one.  What is DP/N of the unit you received?

@redxps630

The DP/N is 3XY3J

I’ve also talked with Technical support, and they told me that this PSU is incompatible with my Inspiron 3020 sff. Also told me there’s no other upgrade option with the pc and that they can accept returns.
