Remember the Atari 130XE or the Amiga? How about Windows 2.01 or better yet DOS based systems. In other words much longer than I care to admit. And have built and repaired every computer that my friends and relatives and clients have challenged me with. And some of those resulted in some adventures in innovation. So in other words more experience than I care to think about, now I need a rest.

I have extensive experience with mostly old Dell optiplex 700 series include MT, DT, SFF (at one time I had 35 DT and SFF as well as 8 MT to tear down and service), and some with 7010/9020. My first Dell mainstream desktop was white Inspiron 530. My first Dell gaming pc was a nonworking gifted to me XPS630i which I dissembled completely to bare bone then put back to repair and restore to full working, and then had the mobo die on me and got a new mobo for $34. Finally sold to a collector.
Since then I had gone both back in time to tear down vintage Dell dimension, XPS 200/400/410/600, and forward to XPS 730X, XPS 730 H2C, Alienware Aurora R4, Area 51 R1/R2.
Currently I have serviced 30 Dell high end latitude laptops mostly with Intel 4th to 8th gen cpu and a few older intel 3rd gen such as E6330, E6430S.
I would hesitate to work on more recent proprietary Dell desktop. I think I only had hands on experience with one Inspiron 3650. It is not a model I would recommend.
