7700 AIO failed on start up
Inspiron 7700 AIO
New 7700 initial startup, got as far as the pc deciding it needed an update to current win11 version (new computer ?)
Told me what it was going to do then started the update went for a reboot then locked up.
All I can get now is the Dell start logo. Can't get into bios pressing f12
Tech help finally understood what was happening & offered me a "swap" or a refund as it was a new machine
OK, these things happen but a swap takes "up to 3 weeks" so I now have to wait for a refund
It's a shame as it looks like a very nice machine if it would only work
Anybody any ideas while I wait for Dell to get back to me ?

There are things you can try but not sure if you are willing to go down that route.
If I were you I would not venture because this pc is brand new.
open up the AIO and remove the cmos battery for 5 min (power off and unplugged from wall). Then replace battery. Try F12 and if you can get to boot menu try SA OS recovery.https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-uk/000181874/dell-inspiron-7700-aio

That's the sort of thing I would normally do but , as it's new I agree best to let it go & take the refund.
Not sure why there would be a 3 week wait for a "swap" though
And now I cannot find one for sale on the Dell UK site either
Would have been a good solution though

@dcdick - You have to press F2 to open BIOS setup, not F12 as you said. So give that a try.
Start tapping F2 as soon as you see the Dell splash screen.

Tech help said to use F12 trying to do a re-set which failed, it does seem this current win11 "update" is causing problems, not just with Dell.
The machine is unstable as well (what I saw of it)
I did notice when packing it up for return that the "security seal" on the box had not been intact when I first got it although I'm not sure what it should look like as the box was sealed with ordinary clear tape.
Although everything was packed as a new PC inside wrapping wise the two boxes that house the power supply & keyboard/mouse were not fitted into the foam packing correctly
Now wondering if this was a return that had been repacked by Dell ?
I would have taken a "swap" but not by waiting 3 weeks
