Dynamic v. Static using Dell Image Assist
A Dynamic Image Assist Image created in a virtual machine (VM) without drivers can work on different hardware systems. More than 95% of Image Assist customers use this approach to avoid dealing with different images for each platform.

Using Image Assist Dynamic
Setting up your system
NOTE: Do not use Audit Mode when running Image Assist Dynamic
Running Image Assist
- Download Image Assist
- Install Image Assist Dynamic
- Create and capture Dynamic image
- Restore and test image
==================================================================================
A Static Image is created with drivers for a specific hardware model and works only on that model, similar to Ghost imaging.

Using Image Assist Static
- Download Image Assist
- Install Image Assist Static
- Create a bootable Image Assist Static USB drive
- Capture Static image
- Restore and test image
