Dell Image Assist: Windows Licensing - OEM or VLA?
Image Assist supports Windows Pro, Education, Enterprise, and LTSC.
Image Assist does not support other versions or IoT.
Licensing Methods:
- OEM: Digital Product Key (DPK) embedded in firmware. Use retail Windows ISO, install in VM, select “I don’t have product key” during setup, and choose OEM in Image Assist.
- Microsoft VLA: Requires customer intervention. Use Windows ISO from Microsoft VLSC, install in VM, add MAK or KMS key, and include it in Image Assist.
