FAST Cache

I would like to know, whether we can implement FAST cache without FAST implementation?

If possible, what are the basic requirements for the same (Flare Code/Any software utilities to be installed)?

Will FAST Cache enhance the performance of the storage array without FAST implementation?

Thanks

Not to argue the point Kev, but the FAST Suite is also available as an option on the CX4 series. I have a quote from my Sales Exec on it both as a suite and as individual components on one of our CX4 arrays.

From a pricing perspective, the Suite came out to be significantly less expensive than any two of the four components that make it up. But if you ONLY need one of the components it can be less expensive to go that route.

As a quick and simple answer to your question on performance Karthik, FAST Cache can improve the performance of your array without implementing FAST VP.

Now just to be clear, I'm saying that FAST Cache CAN improve the performance without implementing FAST VP. In most cases it WILL, but not in EVERY case. You might have some special configuration or requirement for your workload that would invalidate the potential advantage, but you should really engage your local Account Team to evaluate your workload. They should be able to tell you clearly based on the reality of your environment.
