PS400 can no longer get a support contract??
We went to renew our service contracts today on several of our Equallogic PS 400 arrays and was told by my 3rd party reseller that we can only get maintenance contract through April of 2013 because Dell ins't going to support them past that date. Is this true?? I hadn't been contacted by anyone at Dell stating this, and less than a year's notice on several large drive arrays doesn't give me much time to scramble for replacement, much less BUDGET for 4 array replacements.
Can anyone confirm this is accurate?

Sorry for your frustration, the expected End of Life for the legacy PS400 is to be around April 18th, 2013. Support contracts are one year lengths, and this is why your reseller cannot offer you a new one (you would have needed to purchase one prior to April of this year).
Please note that these dates may change, and if they do, I will post an update.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience, and if you have any other concerns, please let me know

Thanks for all of the info. Where can someone go to see a list of dates of what dell EOLs? I guess I was just surprised not to have gotten any information on any support page when I went to download software for them. I would have thought it would be plastered everywhere to let people know. Heck, Most of our employees in our I.T. dept didn't even work here in 2008, much less remember what dell announced in 2008 :)
I know it is ultimately on me to check these things, and it is my bad for not doing so, that is why I would like to know where to go on dell's site to check the other arrays that we own.

Dell typically ends warranty extension options 5 years after they stop selling a certain system/model. This applies to most of their enterprise equipment (PowerEdge, PowerConnect, PowerVault, Dell|EMC, Dell Equallogic and Dell Compellent).
