Clean shutdown for EqualLogic PS6100 without shutting down the Host/iSCSI Initiator
I actually have known the procedure on how to shut down the Equallogic PS storage. But I have a question along with the procedure.
Do you really need to shut down the iSCSI Initiator or the Host that is connected to the storage before shutting down the storage controller?
Because we will be moving the Equallogic box to the other rack. I just want to shut down the Equallogic without shutting down the Hosts.

Thank you very much DELL-DONALD.
No other storage connection to the host. Each host is assigned with LUN and we set it exclusive for database, exchange, or file servers.
I think that makes sense. I don't want to risk. So, I can say that it's really recommended to disconnect/shutdown the hosts. And just arrange a maintenance window.
