Porvided that there is actual data in the datastore you selected , i.e., VM's/Users/Templates etc. the Managed objects should show up in the lower section (you didn't indicate what is in the datastore).
You can try to clear the Java cache (use the java control panel), then see if this help.
Also, ensure you only have Java 6.x installed (do not install java 7) on the system you are running the vSphere Client from.
Prior to selecting the “Restore from Smart copy”, on the right side of the EqualLogic Auto-Snapshot Manager (in the Smart Copies section), highlight the datastore, and in the section below “Managed object” do you see the Managed objects? (see pic).
If you do, and the “analyzing dependencies” still doesn’t seem to show the Managed objects, then you should open a support case.
If you don’t see any managed objects on the bottom section, it’s possible the smart copy had errors in the creation. You can try to create a new smart copy or also try the refresh button to see if it populates the managed objects in this section. If you still don’t see it here, you will need to open a support case.

Dear Joe, please see attached image, I selected the snapshot but the inventory is blank which prevents us from restoring the vm.

Joe, you're the MAN, after I remove java 7 & reboot I am now able to view the vm inventory.
