Replication bandwidth priority between groups
We have two 6610X’s, each in it’s own group. Any data on Group A is replicated to Group B. Any data on Group B is replicated to Group A. This is done to ensure data safely exists in opposing groups in event of failure (and in addition to our VM backups).
My question is: with 8 1TB volumes per group, can they ALL be replicated every X hours to destination group without causing significant storage bandwidth issues? Do the EQL’s prioritize/throttle replication traffic at a lower level to ensure connected virtual hosts have highest priority?
The replication deltas are very small (~5-20GB) and happen almost immediately considering we’re using 10GBE Dell switching.
Thanks.

Hi Don,
Yes it does however when I run all 8 at the same time, all appear to be replicating in parallel (i.e. I see 8 volume entries with GB’s incrementing every few seconds). It doesn’t seem to replicate one volume at a time.
Thanks!

I see - thanks very much for the detailed information!
