PS4000 unable to clear foreign disk label
We have recently purchased new disks from Dell. However, all the added disk are shown as foreign disk. We followed the instruction to add to RAID and allow clearing data. Within a few seconds, the status changed to spare and then back to foreign disk. What could be the problem?

Hello Donald,
Yes, they were purchased special for PS4110 in 6 pack format.
Original we have 6 disks and the disk type is SAS HDD. However, the new disks are shown as SAS HDD encrypted. As the disks are purchased from Dell for PS4110E, they should be compatible
I thnk I need to open a support case.

Hi Donald,
Do you mean even I am not adding it to the existing RAID, I can't mix SED and non-SED in the same array? Currently I have 6 non-SED in RAID5+ spare. I want to create another RAID set with the SED drives. Is it possible?
