HIT/ME on VMWare MS guests

I got a suggestion in a thread last week to use HIT/ME ASM for my MS 2008 R2 iscsi data volumes, but I didn't make it clear that all of the 2008 servers are VMs in VMWare 5.5. Does HIT/ME still apply? All of the documentation and forum posts I've seen so far seem to indicate this is for Hyper-V hosts or bare metal servers.

I realize there is a VMWare HIT appliance for the VM snapshots, so I will be setting that up. If the HIT/ME tool isn't for my VMs, I'll just keep using the built in EQ snapshot schedule.

Thanks.

Thanks, Don. I'm using the iscsi initiator in each windows vm. I have the vmkernel iscsi config, but not the separate port groups so I can set those up. I also need to set up VSS access on the EQ, right?
