Drive xx has failed to spin up in 33 seconds. EqualLogic PS6500e
So...I have a storage pool with two members (both EqualLogic PS6500e).
One HDD failed, one of spare HDD took over and reconstruction of RAID completed in about 7hr. I went to replace failed HDD but when I did received following error:
"Enclosure 0, drive 26 has failed to spin up in 33 seconds. Drive has failed"
I tried 2 other new HDD and still received the same warning message and disk status remains "failed". Any suggestion? Thank you in advance!

Are you using the same drives that came with the PS6200?
What was the original drive failure message?

Thank you Don,
I moved the second spare drive into the slot where the drives were failing. It worked there. So the slot is ok. But now the other slot (where the spare was) gave the same warning "Enclosure 0, drive 46 has failed to spin up in 33 seconds. Drive has failed".
Also tried like 5 cold drives in that slot but with same results.
When you suggest to "manually failover controllers", do you mean to Restart the problematic member?
Thanks

Don,
As you suggested, I restared the problematic SAN. This was the manual failover of the controllers and it got rid of all warnings. All green now!
Thank you!
