What is an Inactive Contact?
Hi All,
I take lot of pride in participating in the Documentum Discussion Forum. It is very educative and supportive for every Documentum Consultant.
I am an Independent Consultant working for the Documentum Clients, for now, mainly Pharmaceutical companies. I work as a Documentum Architect and Systems Developer.
Once my contract ends with a client, I move to a different client and work for their requirements.
In this scenario, (I guess many of you are also like me)what happens when the client de-Activates my Documentum Account, since I am no longer with them?
1) Can I login to the Forum with the Same UserId?
2) Should I have to use ONLY the New UserId from the current client? What happens to my score / rank in the forum?
Did any of you had such experience?
Raj

1) If you acct is deactivated (ie do not have a client that has active maintenance support), then you cannot log in.
2) However, when you get a new client, you can request that your new user id be mapped back to old id, thereby maintaining your score/rank.
I used to be independent consultant as well. My score/rank has been culmination of 4 separate clients.

My old account has not been deactivated but I am working with a new client and would like to open a new account.
Now I can go ahead and open it....
I guess I wont get the same username though...
Thanks to gopal for opening this topic...

If you email Dianna, one of Documentum forum moderators, she should be able to merge your new id with your old one, so that you dont lose your pts/rank.
