Combine Accounts

Hey-
Who do I contact to combine powerlink accounts? I have an accout with my client (this one) that has all my forum and case history. My parent company created an account for me as well (which is locked) but is accessible via the business email I'd like to use moving forward.

Is there specific person or team I should contact to take care of this?

Thanks,
Erin

Hi Erin,

I don't think this should be a problem, but I'll have to ask around. Someone will be contacting you shortly.

Thanks,
Erich

You shouldnt have problems transferring the points. I'm guessing as long as you can prove that the old account is the same person as new account, they should be able to close the old account and add the points to the new account. Not sure if they can move the support cases, since that is tied to previous customer.

I had the same issue and Julie Gibson took care of it. Good luck with transferring your points though...(if that is important)

Hi Shoeb,

We tried as much as possible to mitigate this, and actively contacted users we knew to have two accounts. Many users notified us before they had any points accumulated, but some users, like yourself, ended up being active and gaining points - in these situations, we were not able to combine the points. In this situations we generally select the account with the most points, which is usually what the user wants too.

I'm sorry we weren't able to help you keep those.

Erich

Well, it didn't happen with me and I ended up loosing some points. In my case, since I had begun using the new profile, they said they could not merge the points.
