foreign drive
Hello I have a PERC 6/i Integrated controller. One of the drives had a yellow blinking light with an error message on the Dell R710 display of Error 1810. I took the server down reseated the drive now blinking a green light. The problem is using Dell Open Manage still show the disk which is part of a RAID 5 as Foreign?
Using Dell Online Diagnostics shows everything as working properly?
I will not be able to reboot and check the BIOS Controller for a while. Even there I am reluctant to change anything with being sure there is really a problem.

Hello dwessel2,
What you will need to do is to clear the hardware log in open manage. Also you will need to clear the foreign configuration from that drive that you reseated. Once that is done then you will need to let the drive rebuild. Once the rebuild completes then all disk should show as ready & optimal.
