Degraded Virtual Disk message shown on md1200
Hi,
I noticed a message this weekend stating a 'Predictive Drive Failure' on my md1200. I decided to be proactive and replace the drive, however now I have a 'Degraded Virtual Disk' message.
When replacing the disk I just simple performed a physical swap as I know they are hot swapable. I have not performed any other action. The recovery guru states to reinsert the old physical disk, but I am afraid that old data will now write to my array. My smcli is not opening for some reason to perform a manual update. Please assist. Thanks for your assistance.

Thank you Sam for the reply.
I resolved this by reconstructing my disk and now the array is in an optimal status after a few hours.
I selected the disk within the Physical tab, selected Advanced, Recovery, and clicked 'Reconstruct Physical Disk' within MDSM v 10.80.G6.61

Hello gitpro,
I am guessing that your MD1200 is attached to an MD32xx or an MD36xx? The best way to see what is going on with your MD is to gather a support bundle. To obtain a support bundle, open the Modular Disk Storage Manager (MDSM) and select the array if necessary. Once on the management screen, look for a link on the Summary tab that says Collect All Support Data or something similar. If there is no link, switch to the Support tab and select the Gather Support Information link. Choose a location to save the file and give it a name. Please send me the resulting .zip/.7z file.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
