Pro Max Tower T2 FCT2250 | Compatibility with "older" Quadro GPU
Hello dear friends,
First i should mention that i have about 150 Precision 3610,5610,7820 workstations in the company that i care for.
I also bought the Pro Max T2 with the Ultra 9 CPU, 64 GB Ram for a specific project that we need. I bought the version without graphics card, first because it was immediately available from supplier and i thought i might use one of the so many Quadro RTX that i have in my IT store room.
First shock, the Pro Max T2 comes with 12pin cables for GPU power supply so my Dell Quadro RTX4000 which needs 8pin can't work. OK, i thought I will figure a way out.
I decided to use a Dell Quadro K2200 card which doesn't need power supply. To my surprise and second shock the Pro Max T2 doesn't boot and shows the amber/white light combination.
Removed the K2200 and boots OK.
So my simple question is this: Does the Pro Max T2 work only with the RTX A series and the RTX Ada that it mentions in site? No compatibility at all with Quadro K/M and RTX series??
Thank you so much in advance.
