OME Not Reporting Updates for a PE 1950

I have a PowerEdge 1950 running RHEL 6 and OMSA. It doesn't have a DRAC, but is being queried via SNMP by OME. I know there is a PERC 5/i Integrated firmware version available because it tells me so when I log into the OMSA. However, OME reports this particular server as compliant and shows no updates.

For reference the current PERC firmware version is 5.2.1-0067 and OMSA is reporting the newest as 5.2.2-0072.

Any ideas on why OME doesn't report updates?

Scott, the latest Dell FTP catalog has dropped the 9th gen servers. So it will show as compliant regardless of what's on there.

Hi Scott,

Couple of questions:

  • What is the catalog version in OME that are using? And the catalog source: FTP or SUU?
  • Is the current version of PERC firmware shown by OMSA and OME same?

Hello,

  • The release ID is 28JGX with a date of 3/17/2015. The source is FTP.
  • The firmware versions listed in OMSA and OME are both the same. 5.2.1-0067

Ah. I was wondering if that was the case. I even checked the OME compatibility matrix before creating this topic.

Thanks for the information.
