no email SNMP alert received

Hello,

I'm using OME 1.3. I can display the SNMP alert on the OME WEB console but I don't received any email.

Important : the action test with the email action set is ok and the email is sent and received.

Any idea ?

Thanks for the question.

Generally the cause of this is one of two problems:

1. The email filter that is created has some small problem where it does not meet the criteria to send the email.  So double check your filter rules.

2. There might be some problem with the mail server setup.  The test works you say and that is good.  But try going to the Email preferences in OME and enable logging to collect more data.  99 percent of the time this will reveal a problem such as the account not authorized to send email, etc.  Just be sure to turn the logging off when done debugging.

There is also an email test in the Dell Troubleshooting Tool which is installed on the OME desktop.  That may help.

Thanks for your help. All is ok now.

I've delete and recreate the email alert JOB and everything is OK now. I beleived I miss something the first time.
