Issue with Set Up and Configure AIOps Observability & Services Plug-in

Had Network Team whitelist the Appliance 2 times, they assured me its open.

Unable to register AIOps or Services Plug-in.

Any suggestions?

Groundzero313,

The error "SCGC-100: Unable to process the request because of an error in communication with the Dell Connectivity Services" during AIOps or Services Plug-in registration typically indicates a connectivity or configuration issue between your OpenManage Enterprise (OME) appliance and Dell’s backend services.

Here’s what I would suggest you look at.

1. Confirm Internet Connectivity from the Appliance
In OME, go to Monitor → Troubleshoot → Appliance → Test Appliance Connection

Select All Sites
Click Test

This checks outbound HTTPS connectivity to Dell services. If this fails, the issue is likely firewall, proxy, or DNS-related.

2. Verify Dell Connectivity Service Status
Navigate to: Console Settings → Dell Connectivity

Make sure that:

Status is Connected
No errors in Transfer Logs
Time and date are correct on the appliance

If not connected:

Click Clear Configuration
Reconfigure the Dell Connectivity settings
Reboot the appliance if needed

3. Check Network and Proxy Settings
Even if the network team has whitelisted the appliance, confirm:

Requirement Details
Outbound Ports TCP 443 (HTTPS)
Domains to Allow connectivity.dell.com, cloud.dell.com, apex.dell.com, downloads.dell.com
Proxy If used, configure under Console Settings → Network Settings → Proxy
As well as

No SSL inspection or deep packet inspection is interfering
DNS resolution is working from the appliance

4. Plugin Version Compatibility
Ensure you're using:

OME 4.3.2 or later
AIOps Plugin 2.4.06 or later
Services Plugin version that matches your OME build
Older versions may not register correctly with Dell’s backend.

5. Review Logs
Go to: Monitor → Troubleshoot → Logs → Generate Log

This includes logs from installed plug-ins like AIOps and Services. You can download and review or provide them to Dell Support.

Lastly, if the issue persists I would suggest you try uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, and also to reboot the appliance

Let me know if this helps.
